Rajasthan Tourism and Development Corporation in 2009 to cater to the demand of
similar rail journeys in India. The weeklong journey of this Indian luxury
train starts from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi and traverse the course
of prominent and enchanting destinations in India which includes Jodhpur,
Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Udaipur, Khajuraho, Varanasi and Agra.

The royal
train has 14 deluxe saloons, each of which is patterned to replicate the
architectural designs of famous palaces in Rajasthan and offers accommodation
in 41 lavishly appointed cabins. These saloons have been classified into
Bravura and Extraordinary suites. All these saloons come equipped with trendy
gadgets and elegant furnishings take you to the era of munificent living. Whereas
the motifs of super deluxe saloons are patterned on two precious jewels,
diamond and emerald, the deluxe saloons are designed in the themes of three
exquisite jewels- ruby, pearl and sapphire.

Appetizing cuisines are presented on artistic tableware’s at the two lavishly
appointed restro-bars, Sheesh Mahal and Swarn Mahal. An assortment of authentic
Indian and international delicacies are offered on the platter of the guests in
a splendid ambience. Whereas Sheesh Mahal is made up of wood & crystal, the
Swarn Mahal is themed around gold & brass. Both a la carte and table d’hôte menu is served to suit the palate of the guests. The well- stocked bar serves an assortment of liquor brands which
includes Vodka, Scotch, Rum, Aperitif, Whisky, Wines and Champanage.
